Editorial - Issue 3 - (August-October 2012)

In the Rg Vedic Devi Sukta, the Mother says, mysteriously, "I give birth to my own Father". Children imitate their mothers. Thus, we would like to mimic the Great Goddess and claim "We have given birth to our own "THE MOTHER" in cyberspace. But, it would be difficult to say that the present rebirth of The Mother is indeed a product of human labour alone. Quite simply, it is not.

Creating Harmony from Chaos

An increase in sensitivity leads to an increase in emotionality. And, emotionality is a must for those wishing to get into a meditative state. Meditation is profound engrossment and involvement and without an emotional appeal one can never get engrossed or involved. So emotionality is an important facet in yogic practice and yoga is primarily meditative

The secrets of the ancient science of yoga were passed down from the divine rishis, saints and sages who came to the Himalayas for divine inspiration. Through their meditation, austerities and prayers, a treasure chest of wisdom was bestowed upon them for the benefit of humanity.

Yoga encompasses asana (the postures) and pranayama (the breathing exercises), but ultimately the word yoga means union.

Hari Naam Alone

In order to acquire this Jnana [knowledge] one has to have faith in the words of the SatGuru and the Shastras. A SatGuru is difficult to get and, in this difficult age, how many persons are fortunate enough to read the Vedas and the Scriptures... Sri Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath recommends a simpler way.

If one sings Naam constantly, then his Shakti [Kundalini] wakes up. He then has no strength to do any work.
